Mary Abreu has been crafting most of her life, although she admits that sticking to one or two is a challenge (hence the “ADD crafter” moniker). Her first book — Little Girls, Big Style (Stash Books, an imprint of C&T Publishing) — was published in 2010; her second book, Modern Style for Girls, was out in October 2015. Hack that Tote!, Mary’s third book with Stash Books, was published in September 2016.

She is an accomplished sewing instructor who teaches a wide range of classes including beginning sewing, serger techniques, apparel and bag making, decoding sewing patterns and even quilting classes. Mary has sewn for fabric manufacturers and designers, creating tutorials and samples used to market new lines and patterns.

Mary has worked as a seamstress with Whitestone Motion Pictures, a small movie production company near Atlanta, and has wardrobe department credits on two short films, including The Candy Shop, starring Doug Jones, as well as a History Channel show. Mary also sewed for the third season of FOX’s Sleepy Hollow.

An award-winning journalist, Mary has worked as an editor, writer and art director at newspapers and magazines throughout the Southeast United States during her 24-year career. She tries to squeeze in the occasional freelance writing and editing gig — although running a household and parenting three kids (26, 23 and 12) are her first priority.

Mary and her Honey will celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary this summer, although she’s not sure if he’s as willing to mark the occasion at DragonCon as she is.

She enjoys attending pop culture conventions, where she is a regular presenter on the topics of pattern drafting and hacking, costuming for children, and historically influenced costuming. She lives with her family near Atlanta, Georgia.

Andrò a vederlo senza meno. 😉

  3. I’ll let Kevin share his experience with you.(I didn’t pitch or participate in the critique because I was Julie the Cruise Director all week. But I will submit something to someone. Just not sure who or what yet…)Sorry I missed beers and wings last week. Hope you got lots hashed out

  4. Have you ever considered publishing an e-book or guest authoring on other blogs? I have a blog based upon on the same information you discuss and would love to have you share some stories/information. I know my subscribers would value your work. If you are even remotely interested, feel free to shoot me an e-mail.

  5. I really liked your video and your channel. If you really want to get your business exposed, I have a program that does exactly that. This program has boosted my business to the top of the internet. This is not a mlm, pyramid scheme or how to make money on ebay. Please check out my channel and videos. Thanks again can’t wait to hear from ya.

  6. Adrian Martin’s “Skirting the Shore” is the Great Loop’s “A Walk in the Woods” by Bill Bryson. For boaters that dream of doing the boating adventure of cruising up the Hudson River – taking the Erie Canal over to the Great Lakes then going down the Mississippi to the Gulf and around the Keys and up the East Coast – THE GREAT LOOP – this is the book for you. With a fair amount of self-depreciating humor, Mr. Martin takes the reader through both the practical and the not so obvious challenges of a journey as long as The Loop. A surprising amount of information in a very readable book

  7. Magnificent goods from you, man. I’ve understand your stuff previous to and you’re just too magnificent. I really like what you have acquired here, certainly like what you’re stating and the way in which you say it. You make it entertaining and you still care for to keep it wise. I can not wait to read far more from you. This is really a tremendous site.

  8. Anyone can be an abuser, and anyone can be a victim. Sometimes abusers meet and join and abuse each other in a twisted relationship. I’ve seen this for myself.Abuse is cyclic because it is learned. In order for abuse to end, the cycle must be broken somehow. In some cases, the victims recognize the patterns of abuse and end the cycle. Others do not and continue it.MJ Logan recently posted..

  10. Survive? Maybe. A couple can connect in other ways besides physical assuming they both have a lack of sex drive. I think connecting emotionally and intellectually can form a bond strong enough to stay together. (Sometimes, even money alone can keep people together, at least superficially.)Thrive? Maybe not. Emotional, intellectual AND physical connecting with a spouse is best, I think. Leaving one or two out, for me at least, would be bad news.

  12. I realise you posted this a while ago, but I just had to comment. I flipped over marlenka while in Prague a few years ago and I've been looking for a recipe ever since. The best piece I had was from Cafe Kafiko on a surprisingly little trodden street in the old town. They also had a wonderful selection of teas to choose from.Great website!

  14. I would love the opportunity to go to the Baby Show! After 3 boys, our little princess is due in May so need to stock up on pink things and get some cute inspiration. The Tommy Tippee prize contains so many items that I never had with my older children but would be so useful with the new arrival. Please pick me!

Ora stacco, ciao.

  16. “Without a breakout hit in the past couple of seasons and with Smallville gone, the CW needs one this year.” Uhmm.. I believe The Vampire Diaries WAS a breakout hit… it’s as big a hit as the network is gonna get… All of the other hypes shows, ala Gossip Girl, 90210, Melrose Place have fizzled and were kept afloat because of the pride of the network (and DVD sales). The Vampire Diaries is the only show that really proved itself on the network (other than Smallville and Supernatural, neither of which I watched).

  18. “insufferable,” but still. Once I would have gotten a real kick out of her. At this time of my life I must admit I’m not as tolerant of kittens as I used to be.So no, not really attached. Right now she’s more of a responsibility I frequently regret accepting. She’ll grow on me more when she settles down. If she lives through what’s coming.

  19. ). AND rhere is an (individual )saturation limit, where the anabolics just makes you ill, even short term. AND I ADD; as with alcohol, some has the Godgiven ” favor” of TOLERATING TOXICS, like the next man hasnt. Its a roulette, which to only some extent, is calculable. You might make it. Or not. Or something in between.

  20. Thank you for the wise critique. Me & my neighbour were preparing to do some research about that. We received a excellent book on that matter from our local library and most books exactly where not as influensive as your details. I’m extremely glad to see such facts which I was searching for a lengthy time.
