Giveaway Time!

23December

I’ve been wanting to do another giveaway for some time and was so tickled with the folks at You Can Make This offered up some prizes to share with y’all. Two winners will each win four YCMT ebooks:  Personalized Name Pillows, Peasant Tops/Dresses, and Easy Fit Pants including both patterns sized for (6m – 12) and (Teen/Adult). Between all of those, items can be made for boys, girls, men and women.

All you have to do to win is comment on this post between now and 5 p.m. (Eastern time) on Christmas Eve. I’d love to know what you’ve made to give for Christmas this year or a favorite handmade gift you’ve received, but that’s optional. I’ll randomly select two winners (thanks to Random.org) and forward your information to the sweet folks at YCMT, who’ll send you your prizes.

Merry Christmas, y’all!

ETA: Congrats to the winners, commenters #6 (Stephanie) and #30 (Cristie)! I’ll be forwarding your email addresses to YCMT and they’ll send out your prizes soon.

After reading a qulting blog about slippers, I decided to put what they said to the test! I bought a pair of boiled wool slippers and applied some applique initials and hey presto – a personalised gift for Christmas (or any other time of year).

    Hi Mary. Merry Christmas!!!
This year I made many, many aprons for friends and family, as well as embroidered ornaments. For my girls, I also made jammies and Christmas outfits.

I finally put my sewing machine away on Monday, but now I think I want to make some more things for the people who really would be blessed by a gift. It never ends I guess. :-)

    Too cute!

We did all hand-made gifts this year. Including my specialty custom photo collages and lots of crafty kitchen confections, including pumpkin seed toffee, chocolate covered pretzels, biscotti and home-made sourdough bread (first run at this whole sourdough biz, hope it turns out well!).

  25. The delightful Colleen replies:

Mostly I am making bags for Christmas. There is a doll quilt, too.

  26. The delightful Jessica replies:

This year, my husband and I made spices for all of our family and friends. We mixed up three concoctions (my famous taco seasoning, butter and olive oil pasta seasoning, and a bread dipping mix) and included recipe cards for how each of the mixes could be used. We made special labels for each of the shakers and color coded the recipe cards so there’d be no confusion. So far, everyone seems to love them.

    Merry Christmas!

I made a tote bag for my Mom, pillow cases for everyone in my family, a spa set (bath salts, a fabric basket, a manicure roll and a body scrubber)for my best friend and decoupaged three clipboards for teacher gifts. I also did a lot of baking and gave some to my Daughter’s bus driver. Its’ been busy! Merry Christmas!

  31. The delightful Kendra replies:
