Favorite charity is friend to friend. You visit otherwise lonely old people at nursing homes. (I hope someone will visit me one day.)

My, what a prize! So much fun! My favorite charity is our Community Ministerial Alliance. All through the year they help people with utilities, rent, medical crisis, gas and food. Thanksgiving they collect food for Thanksgiving baskets for those in need. My favorite part is the Helping Hands at Christmas. This year they have 120 kids who will have a much better Christmas because of the Ministerial Alliance. They pass out cards and the kids get everything that is listed on the card and extra. They get at least one complete set of clothes from underwear on out, including shoes. Girls also get a dress. They also get a toy. It is such a blessing shopping for these kids! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

This is great! I probably should do this myself - maybe next year - LOL

I do not blog - yet or use some of the sites mentioned but I do belong to facebook and will list the contest there. here is a link to my profile

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/profile.php?id=527877670&ref=profile

I always support charities that help with cancer research or children but right now my favorite charity is our church food pantry. Since we opened it up a few months ago I am able to tell people there is something we can do to help them when they call. With our economy taking some of the hits it has taken lately we need to spport on a local level and with immediate needs.

Thanks for all of your neat ideas - I read the blog often.

Wow, what a great variety of items you're offering!

I have two organizations: Make a Child SMile. I love being able to give a little of me to a child in need to give them something funny or pretty to take their mind off the serious issues they face. Soldiers' Angels is also dear to me. I think it's important to support our soldiers and, for me, this has been a wonderful experience!
