Hope
I love so much of what it means to be a part of the blogging community and am especially grateful to have met so many amazing and talented people over the past 22 months. It has been a particular delight to get to know Lisa, who is so incredibly sweet and one of the most fun people with whom I’ve ever talked.
Lisa’s 15-year-old daughter has again been hospitalized. She is awaiting a kidney transplant and has been experiencing problems with high blood pressure that now has sent her to the ICU. Lisa says that the liver transplant Marielle had as an infant makes finding a kidney match even more difficult. So far two family members have not matched.
You can read more about the latest chapter in this family’s story here. I know Lisa and Marielle would appreciate any support, thoughts, prayers — whatever you can do — sent their way. And, please, learn and share information about being a living organ donor because you or someone you know may be able to save a life.
