There’s no question that my daughter is quite the girly girl but her latest adventure in dressing up caught me by surprise.

Yes, this is the sweet Miss L wearing not one but two pettiskirts. She promptly began twirling all around the house, yelling at me to take her picture.

Of course, this was basically the only thing she wore all day long. There was a small potty accident, then a bath, followed by an adamant refusal to put on something — anything.

Yes, be careful what you wish for, because your daughter may do her best impersonation of a lampshade.

Oh, Mary be warned…this is when it starts to get really fun! Abby has been into the “dress Up” thing for a while now and she has quite the collection! Which I am sure is no surprise. It’s starts small, but quickly turns into a huge treasure trove of outfits and accessories. Everything from jewels to tiaras, magic wands to “play high heels”! Beware of the dress-up isle at Target you can easily spend a mini fortune. Here is my suggestion. Be at the shops first thing the day after Halloween and raid the left-overs on the 50% of rack. I started doing this at both Halloween and Easter ( great for bonnets, adorable purses, and little gloves) also the $1 bins at Target and of course the $1 store. All great places to find dress-up treasures. Have fun and enjoy this very special time in L’s childhood!

Why do I think that Miss L will be the catalyst for kicking off a new fashion trend of strapless petticoat dress- wearing? Maybe because she wears it so well?!? ;o)

    Blessings!

cute, cute, cute!!! Ruby is really to dress ups lately too, and somehow has discovered jewlery and accesories. She’s super girly and rough and rowdy at the same time. I nice mix I think. Your little one has such beautiful eyes, what a doll!
