So much about moving my blog to my own hosted domain appealed to me, not the least of which was the veritable buffet of widgets and plug-ins I could add. I’m always on the lookout for things that will improve the blogging experience here, for both myself and you wonderful readers.
You may have noticed a few changes (less so if you read from an aggregator like Bloglines or Google Reader) around here. For one, I’ve added a cool bookmarking tool called Sociable, which allows folks to submit posts to digg, del.i.cio.us, Kirtsy, Google, Technorati and Twitter. It’s pretty nifty and I think it will come in handy for me to Tweet about my blog posts.
The biggest change actually is to my sidebar. My blogroll is enormous and I’ve tweaked things a bit using Better Blogroll. Now you’ll see 10 random blogs with links to the most recent posts under the heading “From My Blogroll.” It changes each time you open a new post or refresh the page.
I’ve also done a little decluttering of my sidebar and moved my links to their own Linky Love page. It was just getting kind of cluttered over there and I’d like people to be able to see the graphics and links in a better format than shoe-horned into the sidebar.

You’ve inspired me. I have a long list of things I’d like to do to my blog. You know how the saying goes, so many blogs, so little time. Well done!

I dislike blog maintenance almost as much as I loathe doing the laundry…but you’ve inspired me. I really like the idea of the better blogroll plugin!

It looks great. I’m sure I’ll get to the point where I want to move, but right now I’m just trying to figure it all out and hang on!
